Fingers wrapped around my throat.
The more I struggled,
the more the pressure increased.
My heart beat rapidly,
but the blood
wasn’t flowing to my brain.
Stars sparked and twinkled
before my eyes
as my breathing
ceased to supply life giving oxygen.
Awakening later I realized it’s impossible to choke yourself to death.
